Responsibilities:

  • Patient Engagement: Foster positive relationships with patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate open communication.

  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently manage appointment schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely access to care for patients. Coordinate with the physiotherapy team to accommodate patient needs.

  • Patient Education: Provide information to patients about our services, treatment plans, and any additional resources or support available. Ensure patients are well-informed and actively involved in their healthcare journey.

  • Feedback Collection: Implement systems for collecting and analyzing patient feedback. Use this information to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the enhancement of our services.

  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physiotherapists, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals to streamline patient care processes and enhance overall patient satisfaction.

  • Administrative Support: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure a smooth and organized workflow.

  • Billing and Documentation Handling: Demonstrate proficiency in handling billing processes and relevant software. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and billing information.

  • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' needs and concerns within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.

Requirements:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, creating a positive and supportive environment.

  • Organizational Abilities: Excellent time-management and organizational skills to manage patient schedules and administrative tasks efficiently.

  • Customer Service Focus: A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve common goals.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of healthcare settings and patient needs.

  • Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and privacy.

  • Knowledge of WCB, MVA, AHS: Familiarity with Workers' Compensation Board (WCB), Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) procedures, and Alberta Health Services (AHS) regulations is an asset.
